Architect(s): Kirtland Cutter

The distinctive shades hanging in the lobby and dining room were originally painted by the Blood Indians and hung in the Prince of Wales Hotel.
"Lake McDonald Lodge surpasses the other (Glacier Park) lodges. It may not be as grand as the other hotels, but the detail is spectacular." --- Paul Newman, historical architect, National Park Service
The merging of the Swiss chalet with a Montana hunting lodge is delightfully played out in this gem of the shores of Glacier's largest lake.
