This the third PBS series based on the books and research of Christine Barnes. The 4-part GREAT LODGES OF THE NATIONAL PARKS first aired in 2002 followed by the 2-part GREAT LODGES OF THE CANADIAN ROCKIES in 2004.

The 2008 GREAT LODGES OF THE NATIONAL PARKS two 60-minute programs bring the lodges and the parks:

  • Step back to the 1920's at Death Valley's Furnace Creek Inn.
  • Ride a Stanley Steamer up to the entrance of the Stanley Hotel.
  • Stay on the edge of an active volcano.
  • Go deep into Denali National Park & Preserve
  • Cruise through Glacier Bay National Park & Preserve
